Tiasil are the largest animals in the woods of the Hajasith. The range extends across the Elfholt, Dimholt and Silver Wood forests, as well as the surrounding woodlands and wetlands.

Tiasil, like all indricotherids, take safety by being large. A female tiasil is about 1.5 meters at the shoulder and 2.2 meters long and weighs around 350 kilograms. Males are about 1.9 meters tall, and 2.5 meters long, and weigh 600 kilograms.

The main predators of the tiasil are the large cyonarctids, including the kel wolf and the woods bear. They are also hunted by the various peoples in their range. Since tiasil are relatively slow breeders, many hunters will only kill young males, and old individuals, not breeding adults.

The elves who inhabit areas that support large tiasal populations often manage the populations more extensively, to the extent that the tiasal may be considered domesticated.
