Features/Square
From Sedes Draconis
Well I don't have a feature again this month. I was noticing though that the three months so far when I haven't had a feature have been September, January, and now April. Nine, one, and four, the three square months. So of course I had to write this up on the 27th (4/27, even. A very nice number. One, four, twenty-seven being the numbers in the next pattern up from one, four, nine. No I didn't mean "one, eight, twenty-seven; I meant "four". Figure it out ;)
(Of course the fact that quarters start at school in Sept, Jan, and April probably doesn't have anything to with it ;)
On other fronts, I'm reading some excellent books, that'll probably get incorporated soon, including
- Palaeoethnobotany: The Prehistoric Food Plants of the Near East and Europe
- Prehistoric Mammals of Australia and New Guinea: One Hundred Million Years of Evolution (including in its authors Tim Flannery who wrote the excellent Eternal Frontier)
- Renaissance Diplomacy
- Wetlands
- The Structures of Everyday Life: The Limits of the Possible (Civilization and Capitalism: 15Th-18th Century)
Between those, lab work for school, and trying to learn to contact juggle. I don't have to much energy left over for feature writing.
